Minnie and Grandanya

This piece is a continuation into my broader theme about the relationship between nature and family because I chose my subjects to be both of my grandmothers, Minnie and Grandanya. These two women are incredibly important to me, and I chose to represent their impact on me by choosing a large sized canvas. The abstract flowers in the background are meant to represent the human touch of nature, while the pressed flowers represent nature in itself.
