Guiding Question: How can family and love be reflected in nature?

How can family and love be reflected in nature? Through my sustained investigation into this topic, I have learned a lot about myself as a painter and drawer, both through my subjects and my mediums. Through each piece, I have advanced my techniques with oil painting. I have experimented with several different mediums, canvas sizes, and even pressed flowers. I am more comfortable with drawing and watercolor, as they have been mediums I have practiced for since elementary school, so when I was introduced to oil paints in high school, I wanted to push myself to adapt to the challenges and successes that come with the medium. To me, pencil and watercolor represent things that fade with time, but oil paints represent something everlasting, like love, bonds with family, and nature.
I have always been influenced by the beauty of nature, and I wanted to reflect the positive impact it has made on me throughout my childhood. Additionally, I am extremely lucky to have incredible family members like my parents, siblings, and grandparents that have supported me and helped me grow into the woman I am today.
